Back in May 2009, Carl Zoch and I decided to go in on a studio space together. Both of our businesses over the last few years have exploded (a good thing) and both of us needed a space to work away from home and meet with our clients. We both still have our individual businesses, but have given our studio a name. We call it Brownstone Studios. I posted a few shots of the exterior of the studio on my old blog a while back, but I guess its time that you see the inside! We couldn't be happier with how things have gone so far. We currently have a spring intern, Katelyn, and a summer intern, Hannah, who will be joining the team in May. Carl snapped some photos of the place last week. All of the photos below, except the last one, were taken by Carl. That one of course is him jumping over the couch.

There is a really cool new blog that features creative talent (designers and photographers) in Oklahoma called Okie Creative. This week I was featured in a weekly interview series they are doing with photographers. Check out the site and when you get there, remember to save it in your RSS feed. This is my 2 year old Samuel Hawkins Snow. He was in such a great mood the other day, so we got out the camera and snapped a few photos to send out with the baked goodies Jen whipped up for family and friends. Happy Valentines Day!

We shot this gown shoot several months ago, but I was not able to show anyone until the spring issue of The Brides of Oklahoma came out. Not too long after this shoot, Morgan Woolard, was named Miss Oklahoma USA. We are so proud of her! A big shout out to Brian Vaughan for letting us use his gorgeous 1967 Mustang Fastback.

This was by far one of the coolest weddings I have ever been a part of! The details in this wedding were amazing. The entire wedding took place on the cotton farm that Melissa grew up on. They cleared a spot in a pasture surrounded by bright yellow Lazy Susans for the ceremony. They cleaned up a really old tree grove on the farm where they had the reception within the rows of trees. They hung over 75 gold kerosene lanterns and tons of moss balls in the trees to set a really cool mood for the reception. Melissa's father built a stage and dance floor for everyone to party on. They ate smores roasted on an open fire instead of eating a traditional cake! They brought in an organic chef from Oklahoma City to prepare and serve there on the spot. The food was ridiculously good! I have always been attracted to the "JCrew look" and it was so cool to see that Melissa's dress and shoes were from JCrew. The dress was so simple and elegant. Her wedding party was also decked out in JCrew apparel. A wedding like this with so much attention to detail comes around once in a while and I feel so blessed to be a part of Melissa and TD's big day. Thank you so much! Congratulations!
