I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the studio today to find these messages of encouragement hand-written on the sidewalk with chalk. I have no idea who left the messages for Carl and me, but it's very encouraging to know that people notice your art and appreciate it! We would love to know who "N&V" are so we can thank you! This is one of my all time favorite bridal shoots. As in some previous posts, this series was shot in the Brownstones at Maywood Park in Oklahoma City. Kristin is beautiful as you can see, but her dress was extremely unique as well. Have you really ever seen a convertible wedding dress? You just did! She designed it herself, and had the uber talented Moe of Bridal Showroom make it. It was fun to see everyone's faces at Kristin and Dirk's wedding last weekend when she entered the reception with a completely new look. She simply had the train part of the dress made so she could detach it within a few seconds. It just goes to show you, if you have an idea, you or the help of someone else can make the idea come to life! Cheers!

It's official! Aaron Snow Photography's headquarters will be in Carmel-By-The-Sea, California for the entire month of April 2011. This is a huge announcement for us and our clients. We recently booked a wedding in Sonoma the last weekend of April next year. We are excited beyond words. This gives us a chance to make our dream come true - live in Carmel-By-The-Sea for an entire month. It is our favorite place to vacation and we find ourselves thinking about it all the time.This is a huge opportunity for our future couples and brides to come to us while we are there for a once in a lifetime photo shoot. It is easy as a professional photographer to get in mode of only shooting for people or subjects who are paying clients. In an effort of breaking out of this mold, I am challenging myself to shoot more regularly for myself. In these certain cases, I will be freeing the ideas and concepts that I stay awake at night thinking of shooting. I have several concept shoots in the works, this one happens to be the first of those. Morgan Woolard is a friend of mine. I have shot her a few times now, and consider myself lucky to know her. She is an amazing person to be around. She is so full of life and happens to be strikingly gorgeous. This year she was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA. She will be competing in mid May in Las Vegas, NV for the crown of Miss USA 2010. I am very confident that she will do very well there and would not be surprised if she wins the whole thing! Above are just a few of the photos that we came away with last week from our shoot with her. I had the amazing Jennifer McLaughlin do Morgan's hair and makeup. She did a wonderful job! A big shout out to Billy and Alison for letting us use one of the model homes at the Brownstones at Maywood Park. Check these homes out! They are high end urban homes in the downtown/Bricktown Oklahoma City area. A big thanks also to Katherine Nichols, owner of Gretta Sloane in Nichols Hills Plaza for some of the clothing used in the shoot. We loved that hat in the last few photos! I am very excited about these photos as well as the concept shoots coming together in the near future. Stay tuned!

Lisa and Tanner were married at St. Lukes in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The reception was held next door at the Hefner Mansion. It was an amazing wedding, full of personal style and touch. I loved Tanner's 3 piece suit and his vintage shoes! The azaleas were in full bloom in the mansion's stunning garden area.

I realize that there are several kissing shots in this post, but I guess I feel like you can tell a couple really likes each other when they have great chemistry and they are not afraid to show it.

We had a great time shooting Megan's senior photos. It was incredibly windy. At some times I think the wind gusts were up to 35 mph. As you can see in the last photo, the wind was having its way with her hair! Megan is the daughter of the amazing videographers out of Tulsa, Mark and Trisha with Von Wedding Films.

I loved everything about this wedding, but mostly Katie's dress, which was made by local designer Melaney Stevens. The lighting was also killer! What a beautiful couple!

This is one of my all time favorite bouquets. The colors are amazing! Tony Foss did an amazing job with the flowers for this wedding! Bravo! More from this wedding coming soon.

Back in May 2009, Carl Zoch and I decided to go in on a studio space together. Both of our businesses over the last few years have exploded (a good thing) and both of us needed a space to work away from home and meet with our clients. We both still have our individual businesses, but have given our studio a name. We call it Brownstone Studios. I posted a few shots of the exterior of the studio on my old blog a while back, but I guess its time that you see the inside! We couldn't be happier with how things have gone so far. We currently have a spring intern, Katelyn, and a summer intern, Hannah, who will be joining the team in May. Carl snapped some photos of the place last week. All of the photos below, except the last one, were taken by Carl. That one of course is him jumping over the couch.

There is a really cool new blog that features creative talent (designers and photographers) in Oklahoma called Okie Creative. This is my 2 year old Samuel Hawkins Snow. He was in such a great mood the other day, so we got out the camera and snapped a few photos to send out with the baked goodies Jen whipped up for family and friends. Happy Valentines Day!

We shot this gown shoot several months ago, but I was not able to show anyone until the spring issue of The Brides of Oklahoma came out. Not too long after this shoot, Morgan Woolard, was named Miss Oklahoma USA. We are so proud of her! A big shout out to Brian Vaughan for letting us use his gorgeous 1967 Mustang Fastback.
