These are some of my favorite moments from Melissa and Zach French’s wedding. I love the natural window lighting in this church’s bridal room. It creates such a peaceful and yet moody setting for these candids. The coordinator for this wedding was Rebecca Thai of Little Surprises Design. The cakes were made by Kristen Mollman. The flowers were also done by Rebecca Thai. I must give a huge shout out to my good friend and assistant Hannah Colclazier for capturing those awesome candids of Melissa and her father just before walking down the isle! Melissa and Zach insisted on stopping by their favorite coffee shop, Coffee Slingers, before heading to their wedding reception. Can’t resist a good pick me up before dancing the night away!

The first time you see your husband on your wedding day is a special moment. All of the anticipation, the butterflies, the goosebumps, are worth it once you finally see him. As a wedding photographer, this is my favorite moment of the day. I get to photograph and preserve such a special moment for a couple to enjoy for years after the wedding day has come and gone. This is one of my favorite shoots of all time. Melissa and Zach met me out in Carmel, California back in April to shoot their engagement photos as well as a bride and groom shoot. They are from Oklahoma, so when they said they wanted something different, I knew exactly where to take them for the shoot. We got permission to shoot at the Corkscew Cafe in Carmel Valley, found a cool ranch and then ended the shoot at the Carmel Monastery. I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I do. Melissa and Zach are great people and I am happy to know them and call them friends.

I love this moment captured during Chelsey and Russell’s “first sight” at the Skirvin Hotel prior to their wedding ceremony at the Oklahoma capitol building. More photos to come soon!

I rarely photograph babies, but when I heard that my good friend Jonathan Jerkins and his wife Leslie were expecting, I quickly planned a trip to Memphis to meet their sweet baby Juliette. I really like how some of these turned out. I was shooting in relatively low light, so there is quite a bit of grain in the photographs, but I think it looks nice. Congratulations Jonathan and Leslie. Juliette is perfect.

The first few shots are from Jamie and Michael’s wedding day at the Botanical Garden in Memphis, TN. We got up early the next morning to shoot their day after shoot on Beale Street and in the Arcade Restaurant. Florals by Amanda Jerkins Design of Nashville, TN.

Shelby and Jennifer are getting married this October. I was very honored that they would ask me to be their photographer. Shelby is also a photographer in Oklahoma (no pressure for me). They were a joy to be with during the shoot. I am really looking forward to their wedding day.
